Make your way through the hallways and corridors of Hogwarts castle. Dumbledore welcomes you as you visit his office on the way to the Dark Arts classroom. Harry, Ron, and Hermione meet you there and invite you to the Quidditch match instead of staying and listening to another boring lecture. You then board special “enchanted benches” which allow you to soar above the castle grounds. Be prepared because during your journey you may encounter dragons, spiders, the Whomping Willow, and dementors!
Loose articles are not permitted on this attraction. Free lockers are available for storage for the duration of your visit to this ride.

Do Ravenclaw robes and tie count as loose articles of clothing? I’m going on January 8.

What happens on this ride? Is it like a roller coaster or just a ride that brings you through out the castle? I’m going over Christmas break.
You board on a “flying bench” which is actually attached to a robotic arm that rides around on a track. It swoops up and down and side to side as it switches from real sets to screens.

I understand there are many complaints about seating on the Forbidden Journey. What is with that?
There were some issues with larger people not fitting in the seats but some seats have been modified to accomodate larger guests.
Would they allow a camera to be worn around your neck on this ride?
No because you might get hooked up in the robotic arm. Keep it in your pocket or put it in one of the lockers. The lockers are a pain though, I waited 90 minutes to get back into mine the lines were so long.
By the way, I have glasses. I can still see without them, but It’s mostly blurry. Do you think they’d fall off on the ride? I’m going in January, and I’m debating whether to bring my glasses or not.

I can’t see without my glasses, and went on the Forbidden Journey 3 times this past week end. Neither my glasses nor my flip flops fell off.
I wear contact lenses and they stayed in just fine. My sunglasses fell off on Hulk, don’t ride that with glasses on!
